Caloura Hotel Resort

While the scenic location is a highlight, it's quite remote from dining options. Plan on driving for anything more than a casual snack at the hotel. The room had some drawbacks with limited electrical outlets, and there were noticeable issues like a damaged shower head and bugs in the hallway that raised concerns about overall cleanliness. Dining at the hotel can also pinch your wallet, with meal prices much higher than local spots for a mixed bag of quality.

The hotel has cozy and good rooms with a comfortable sofa and an Atlantic view, as for instance. The breakfast choices are gorgeous and free with scrambled eggs and bacon, as example:)))

a huge variety of goodies for breakfast. the very very helpful and best staff and their quick responses to my needs.

The staff was accommodating, letting us change our stay without issues, and the kids loved the spacious pool area.

My children wished for more kid-friendly dining options in the hotel.

Gorgeous comfortable hotel with beautiful location by a beautiful garden. Lovely beds and central heating, an individual safe, and multi-channel television. Stunningly beautiful views over the ocean all around. Location near to the beach, downtown, the airport and the volcanic village, and beautiful nature. And close to Ponta da Galera Beach.

Great place with its excellent wi-fi, outdoor swimming pool, and friendly staff who helped me with a phone charger during my first stay. I highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

Fine Views and Relaxing Atmosphere!

Enjoyed peaceful evenings by the large pool with cocktails from the snackbar, savoring the good food options available. Don't miss watching the ocean sunsets from the room's balcony! Renting a car is recommended for exploring nearby areas since the hotel is a bit secluded.

The views from my room were fine, especially during sunset when I would sit on the balcony. It felt nice to unwind with a hot cup of tea in the cozy winter bar after exploring the area. Easy access to natural volcanic pools. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

Dining options were somewhat limited. The food prices felt high compared to the overall experience.

Staying at Caloura Hotel Resort was very nice. Each room boasts a amazing ocean view. I loved sipping coffee on the balcony while soaking in the sunrise. The grounds are beautifully maintained, perfect for strolls or yoga sessions at sunset. Staff members consistently greeted me with warm smiles and assistance, really enhancing the experience. Food options vary, with tasty local cuisine but some dishes felt a bit pricey. Breakfast was good, but the lack of fresh coffee choices and occasional delays at the dining area could be improved. The outdoor pool was inviting, and I enjoyed the nearby beach, but the sauna being extra added a surprise to the overall cost. Location is lovely, though a little remote. Having a car is a must for exploring the area. A fantastic stay despite minor inconveniences.

The Wi-Fi needs a serious upgrade!!! With poor connectivity throughout the hotel, staying in touch was frustrating. The spa services are limited, only available on weekends, quite inconvenient .

The amazing ocean views from every room were enchanting, especially as I relaxed on the balcony, watching the sunset paint the sky in vibrant colors. Easy access throughout the hotel made it a pleasure to navigate.

Fine Views, But Needs Improvement

We stayed for 2 nights in a double room with a sea view. The ocean views were mind-blowing! The pool area was chill, and the food was pretty tasty. But the dining options were kinda limited for breakfast, a bummer.

The ocean views from my room were amazing, and i enjoyed relaxing on my balcony during sunset. Every morning, i looked forward to the delicious breakfast options and friendly staff service.

wi-fi connection was very spotty.

The reusable water bottle in the room was a thoughtful touch, and the friendly staff made us feel welcome during our stay.
